Happy 4th of July — America Turns 250!

Happy 4th of July, Ducksters! 🇺🇸🦆
Today isn’t just any Independence Day — it’s America’s 250th birthday. Two hundred and fifty years of freedom, fireworks, backyard cookouts, and — for the last few of them — hiding rubber ducks on Jeeps and cruise ships for strangers to find. We like to think the founders would approve of at least one of those traditions.
From our flock to yours: happy semiquincentennial (yes, that’s the real word — try saying it after your second hot dog). Freedom Ducky and Sparkle of Liberty up there are celebrating in style, and we hope you are too — at the parade, on deck watching fireworks at sea, or duck-in-hand at a Jeep meet.
Celebrate safely out there
- Leave the fireworks to the pros — and keep a safe distance if you’re lighting your own where it’s legal. Water nearby, sober hands, and never relight a dud.
- Look out for pets and little ones — loud booms are scary for both. A quiet room beats a lost pup.
- Hydrate and shade up — July sun doesn’t mess around, whether you’re on the parade route or the pool deck.
- If you’re driving, drive duck-sober — get everyone home to celebrate another 250.
And if you spot a patriotic duck perched somewhere unexpected this weekend — you know what to do. Scan it, tap it, or enter its code, and give its owner a little firework of their own. Releasing one instead? Red, white, and blue ducks are begging for a free trackable tag.
Happy 250th, America. Be safe, be kind, and keep the ducks flying. 🎆
